Winderlea Sparkling Brut

2017 Vintage Sparkling Brut

2017 Vintage Sparkling Brut

Upon arrival at the winery, the fruit for our sparkling is pressed slowly and gently before the juice is moved to neutral French oak where it ferments and ages for seven months. The finished wine is bottled along with a small amount of sugar and yeast- essential ingredients for the secondary bottle fermentation. After two years in tirage, we are pleased to share it with you.

Bright and perfumed with notes of crisp pink lady and green apples, citrus zest and a touch of brioche or pie crust. On the palate the tiny bubbles are exuberant and create a lively mouthfeel for the layers of citrus, apple, cream and brioche.

Selections: 45% Dijon 76 Chardonnay, 55% Pommard Pinot noir

Best Paired with: Duck liver pâté and soaking up the sun on the porch.

Meredith Mitchell Vineyard Pinot blanc

2019 Winderlea Meredith Mitchell Pinot blanc

2019 Meredith Mitchell Pinot blanc

The Meredith Mitchell Vineyard Pinot blanc is our unique take on this Alsatian classic. The aromatics show depth and layered complexity. A hint of barrel leads immediately to notes of grapefruit and papaya, with an underlying briny character. The palate has weight without being heavy, gliding from flavors of kiwi fruit to persimmon and nougat. The flavor lingers, the finish is long, and the wine is undeniably striking.

AVA: McMinnville

Best Paired with: Freshly shucked oysters and brunch al fresco

Bounteous Pinot noir

2018 Bounteous Pinot noir

2018 Bounteous Pinot noir

The 2018 Bounteous is, through and through, a precise reflection of the vintage and it’s namesake. 2018 was a year marked by above-average yields as well as abundant sunshine without extreme heat. The aromatics of the wine are dusty and fruity with smashed raspberries, cedar chips, and a hint of fresh-rain-on-concrete. This swirls and evolves to show blackberry leaf, rooibos tea, and hibiscus. The nose has energy and nerve with a fresh, light quality that translates to a mellow and soft flavor. Watermelon, cocoa, and chocolate covered cherries spread out on an even and balanced palate that has poignant acidity and chalky-fine tannins. The wine is robust but not big, full but not heavy, and lingers long enough to carry you to the next sip.

Vineyards: Crawford Beck, Weber, Shea Meredith Mitchell

Best Paired with: The first burgers on the grill of the season and Queen’s Gambit
